As an Advisory NED, you’ll support the strategic direction of the NCC and provide independent oversight, guidance and challenge to the executive team. You’ll contribute to:
- Strengthening relationships with stakeholders across industry, government, academia and policy
- Supporting the organisation’s approach to risk within a complex operating environment
- Shaping long-term priorities in line with national and regional industrial strategies
- Extending NCC’s reach and impact across sectors and geographies
You will be appointed to the NCC Subsidiary Board. You may also be invited to join the *NCC–University of Bristol Innovation Steering Board which focusses on ramping up innovation and impact, subject to discussion during the appointment process.
We are particularly interested in candidates with:
- Experience in engineering, manufacturing, applied R&D or industrial technology
- A professional network that can help advance innovation and capability
- A track record of leading transformation or technology adoption
- Experience of working across sectors or public/private boundaries
- Understanding of governance, accountability, and organisational risk
- The ability to provide balanced support and challenge to the executive
- A commitment to inclusive, long-term value creation
