Summary

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a motivated, commercially aware Director of Strategy and Business Development to join our executive team. You will take the lead on our strategy development as well as drive change across the organisation. You will also be responsible for providing the platform to develop a comprehensive understanding of all our services and lead efforts to diversify and grow Historic England’s income.

As the Director of Strategy and Business Development you will bring passion for heritage and strong change leadership experience. You will have a successful track record of influencing others and working closely with the business and operational teams so that they can deliver effectively on an ambitious strategy. 

Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will lead the Corporate Strategy and Business Improvement Group in the development of strategy. More specifically, you will contribute to the strategic direction, leadership and management of Historic England and the successful delivery of the Strategy and Corporate Plan.
